Frutillar Alto, 4 kilometers from Frutillar, was born 50 years after Frutillar, with the arrival of the railroad in 1907. It is located next to the station and to the Pan-American Highway. More economic family lodgings are gotten that those of Frutillar.

City seated on the nascent of the river Maullín, drainage of the lake Llanquihue and just 3 kilometers from Puerto Varas.
