BARILOCHE:
located in the south coast of the Nahuel Huapi lake near the
nascent of the river Limay.
With 110,000
inhabitants is the biggest city in the Río Negro province
and the most important tourist center in the Patagonia. In
1895
a group of German colonists installed a small trade in the
place with the purpose of exporting products to Puerto Montt
in Chile,
but the foundation of San Carlos de Bariloche dates of 1902.
The architect Alejandro Bustillo captured its inspiration
in
works that today are symbols of the city: the Civic Center,
the beautiful Hotel Llao Llao and the Intendency of the National
Park Nahuel Huapi. In 1924 comes to San Carlos de Bariloche
the first tourist contingent that moved from Buenos Aires
to
Neuquén in train and then by car. Since then, thousands
of visitors arrive to this beautiful city from many places
of the world. This city has more than 20,000 lodging beds,
international
airport, the most important ski center of
South-America, lot of campings, a wide range of trips, all
the gastronomic
alternatives that you can imagine and the richest thing: it
produces 3,000 tons of exquisite chocolate per year. In winter
the center of the activities of this area is in the base
of the Hill Catedral, a ski center with more than 70 kilometers
of hints, hotels, restaurants, sweet shops, solariums,
32 elevation
means
for 20,000 persons/hour and the most spectacular thing: a view
from the summit that includes the glacier of the hill Tronador,
the hill Otto, the lake Gutiérrez and the majestic lake
Nahuel Huapi with its island Victoria. The city is extended
on the coast of the lake Nahuel Huapi along several kilometers.
The Bustillo coastal avenue travels this extension
arriving
to the peninsula where it is located the imposing Llao
Llao Hotel & Resort.
