Santa Cruz Cruise

Marpatag Cruises begun navigating the Argentino lake with the smaller Leal cruise, which now offers a full day navigation to the glaciers Upsala and Spegazzini called Gourmet Experience. The Santa Cruz is a bigger luxury cruise offering two night all inclusive programs, visiting most glaciers in the lake Argentino.

The vessel was built in 2010 at Tecnao shipyard and has 21 cabins in three different cabin categories allowing a maximum of 42 passengers: deluxe (129.1 square feet / 12 square meters), premium (183 sq.ft / 17 sq.m) and grand suite (323 sq.ft / 30 sq.m - featuring king size bed). All cabins have private bathroom and exterior view and the cruise was built with comfort in mind.

One of the cruise stops

El Calafate destination is almost everything about the glaciers. Usually you stay 3 nights in town so you can take two full day tours: one to the world famous Perito Moreno (either the classic or the more active Mini Trekking) and the other is a navigation to the glaciers Upsala and Spegazzini (there are some variants on this as well).

The Santa Cruz is then a luxury alternative to the classic tour to El Calafate since you can take the two night cruise that not only will visit the three mentioned glaciers but also will include the Mayo glacier being the only way to visit it. This said you can still spend one or two nights in town, but this isn't mandatory. This 2 night program is certainly expensive, well, it is the very best relaxed experience for the Glaciers National Park.

This luxury cruise is awesome! By far, it is the best experience in the Glaciers National Park visiting most of them. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly indeed.
If you are thinking in visiting the glaciers and if you're not in a budget, well, this might be the best choice.
