Information on Bariloche, Argentina

San Carlos de Bariloche is one of the most important cities in Patagonia.
It is the capital of the Lakes District, and a great winter destination as well receiving thousands of tourists from all over the world.
It is by far the city with the bigger number of hotels in the southern parts of Argentina and Chile including some fantastic 5 star properties like the Llao Llao hotel, which is in our opinion the best in Patagonia.
The Intl airport receives usually between 8 and 12 daily flights coming mostly from Buenos Aires and El Calafate, and there are lots of tourists also arriving by car and buses.
The classic sightseeing tours are the Short Circuit and Cerro Catedral, both half day tours, and there is also the International Lakes Crossing trip that goes to Puerto Varas in Chile navigating along three lakes with the necessary transfers in between, a great experience with beatiful landscapes.

Navigating the Nahuel Huapi, the Frias and the Todos los Santos lakes, it can be done in one full day and also staying overnight at Peulla in Chile. Fantastic scenery: volcanoes, lakes, mountains, forests.
